Newport Italian-Americans share their stories too

The lyrics of the country classic, "I'm My Own Grandpa," are difficult to follow because of the convoluted relationships caused by generational intermarriages of two separate families. 


The relationships between Italian-American families on Aquidneck Island don't go to that extreme, but when people are cousins through both their mothers' families and their fathers' families the connections are difficult to follow.
