"Sculpted Form," a solo retrospective celebrating the extraordinary career of master ceramicist Renzo Faggioli, is on view through October 25 at the ArtWRKD gallery on South State Street. Now 86, Faggioli has spent more than five decades shaping clay, teaching generations of artists, and building a body of work that moves fluidly between vessel, sculpture, figure, function, and form.
"Sculpted Form" brings together work from across his long career, offering a rare opportunity to experience the evolution of an artist whose practice has remained grounded in craftsmanship while continually pushing beyond the purely utilitarian. Born and raised near Florence in Montelupo, Italy, Faggioli grew up surrounded by the ceramic traditions of Tuscany.
