Nonna's cookbook puts St. George restaurant in international spotlight

Enoteca Maria is a small wine bar and restaurant in St. George with an unusual concept: The menu is orchestrated by about a dozen nonnas direct from Italy who bring their regional spin to the country's food.

Proprietor Jody Scaravella will hit the radio with his new cookbook between 11 a.m. and noon, Tuesday, April 7, on NPR's "On Point." Later that day, he will sign copies of "Nonna's House: Cooking and Reminiscing with the Italian Grandmothers of Enoteca Maria" (Atria Books) at 7 p.m. at Barnes & Noble in New Springville.
