Let's get this out of the way: Ralph Macchio doesn't mind being forever Danny. Back in 1984, when he was 22 and still babyfaced, Macchio nuzzled his way into teen dreams as Danny LaRusso, the martial arts cutie-pie in the movie The Karate Kid.
The role — opposite Pat Morita as Danny's beloved mentor, Miyagi — made Macchio a star and cemented his perch in the pantheon of 1980s heartthrobs. Today, Macchio looks much younger than 54, as if the '80s never ended.
