For Lynn Muto's family and friends, it's not a celebration without Italian Biscuits. Mrs. Muto makes the sweet, almond-flavored treats with powdered-sugar icing for birthdays, showers and other milestones. The holidays, of course, are peak time for the dessert.
"I give them as gifts; I give them to neighbors, friends, relatives," Mrs. Muto said of the treats that earned her a $100 grocery gift card, in the kitchen of the Olyphant home she shares with her husband of 46 years, Frank. "People ask for them, I make them."
