Wait for it. A new California/Italian deli called Appetito is about to open in Palm Springs across from the Ace Hotel at 1700 South El Camino Real. A real treat for local denizens and visitors, the menu will do a modern take on the classic Italian eatery "promising great food, fun, value and a sense of community', according to its press release.
Available dishes range from house made pastas to panini and focaccia pizza created by Chef Chad Shaner, a CIA-Hyde Park graduate and Union Square Cafe alum (along with Patrick Service).
