Managing partner Michael Nicol said Princi Italia’s first location in Dallas came to be after a trip to Italy. From there, he said, the popularity of the Dallas location prompted restaurant owners to open a second restaurant in Plano at West Plano Village in December 2015.
The restaurant is a modern Italian kitchen that focuses on fresh dishes that include homemade pastas, seasonal vegetables and unique flavor combinations only found in authentic Tuscan restaurants, Nicol said. “We have always been about providing fresh foods using the best quality ingredients,” Nicol said. “We want to provide that traditional Tuscan cuisine in a very Tuscan-inspired environment with lots of natural light in an open, outdoorsy feel.”
