Prosecco DOC production reached a record 667 million bottles in 2025, according to data released by the Prosecco DOC Consortium based in Treviso, Italy. This figure marks a 1.1% increase over 2024 and confirms Prosecco DOC’s status as the world’s best-selling Italian sparkling wine.
The growth comes despite a year marked by global economic uncertainty, inflation, shifting customs duties, and pressures on consumer spending. Giancarlo Guidolin, President of the Prosecco DOC Consortium, credited the achievement to the coordinated efforts of winegrowers, winemakers, and sparkling wine producers across the supply chain.
