A purple Italian food truck that lets customers order their favorite pasta dishes on the go has collected a following throughout central Wisconsin. Purple Basil food truck owners Taylor Okerlund and Carolina Corral are both military veterans who dreamed of running a business. Between the two, they have 13 years of experience in the military, both active and in the guard.
Corral said before she joined the military in 2012, the food truck trend had already been popular in Texas, and she knew that was something she wanted to do. Okerlund said he wanted to be an entrepreneur, so the pair teamed up to start Purple Basil.
