Palazzo Spada and its unassuming gallery of late Renaissance paintings is in a seldom visited corner of Rome’s historical center. Although its collection is small, the palazzo’s gallery does contain works by Titian, Caravaggio, Rubens, and Artemisia Gentileschi, as well as other well-known Renaissance artists.
However, the palazzo’s collection is distinguished by one of the most significant works in all of Rome: Francesco Borromini’s Galleria Prospettica (1651).
