RESTAURANT EXPERIENCES: Uncle Joe's Pizzeria

By: DINAH LOTT

The other night, we paid a visit to an old family favorite, Uncle Joe’s Restaurant on Genesee Street in Geneva. The place was established in 1978, but you’d never know it by looking at it. With a quaint atmosphere, classic red-and-white tablecloths and old-timey portraits and memorabilia on the wall, it feels like it’s been in that neighborhood forever.

The sepia-toned Italian-American faces look down from the walls, and you can almost imagine them being there when Torrey Park was in its heyday, popping into the restaurant with their kids and saying, “What? You’re not hungry? Have something to eat or you’ll break your Uncle Joe’s heart.”
