Rose Byrne and Bobby Cannavale will star in a one-night only benefit reading of Moonstruck. The real-life married couple will play Loretta Castorini and Ronny Cammareri, played in the film by Cher and Nicolas Cage, with a cast including Patti LuPone, Stevie Van Zandt, Steve Buscemi, John Turturro, Stephen DeRosa, Dez Duron and Mary Lou Rosato.
Peter Sagal, the host of radio show Wait, Wait Don’t Tell Me, will host and read stage directions. The benefit will take place Nov. 10 at 8 p.m. at the Music Box Theatre with proceeds going to New York Stage and Film. Tony Award winner Doug Hughes will direct.
