Gregg Di Francesco, president of The Scotch Plains Italian American Club, presented a donation in the amount of $750 to Bob LaCosta, Chair of the Scotch Plains Vietnam Veterans Committee. The Italian American Club appreciates the service of all veterans, and supports all their endeavors. A second check, also in the amount of $750, will be presented to the Vietnam Veterans Committee in the near future.
These donations are a direct result of Memorial Day Float awards from several years. It is the IAC’s way of saying "Thanks,” and giving back. As recently as this past November, the Italian American Club provided club space for the annual Veterans Day Picnic/Barbeque.
