The Southeast Texas community is gearing up to celebrate Italian Heritage Month with a number of events throughout the month of October. The 'Italians of Southeast Texas' group is associated with the Order Sons & Daughters of Italy in America, Lodge #2887.
The organization "promotes the appreciation and understanding of the Italian Culture and Heritage through civic and social events.” A few events are scheduled throughout October. The Italians of Southeast Texas have three events planned to celebrate Italian Heritage month, two of which are here in Southeast Texas.
