The 2026 edition of Taste of Italy Houston confirmed the growing importance of the event as a gateway for Italian food and wine companies looking to expand in the United States. Organized by the Italy–America Chamber of Commerce of Texas, the trade fair took place from March 1 to March 3 at the Hilton Houston Post Oak by the Galleria, bringing together producers, importers, distributors, and retail buyers from across the country.
Now in its 12th edition, the initiative has developed into one of the most specialized events in the U.S. dedicated entirely to authentic Italian food and beverage products. Since its launch in 2015, the fair has helped connect Italian companies with American distribution networks, strengthening business ties and promoting high-quality Made in Italy products in one of the world’s most competitive markets.
The 2026 edition recorded particularly strong participation. More than 70 Italian food and wine companies attended the event, presenting a wide range of products – from regional specialties and wines to premium packaged goods – to an audience of professional buyers and industry operators. The program included three days of business-to-business meetings, tastings, educational sessions, and networking opportunities designed to encourage commercial partnerships.
The event continues to attract a large and diverse group of buyers. Retail chains, restaurant groups, importers, and distributors from Texas and at least 14 U.S. states participated, reflecting the expanding interest in authentic Italian cuisine across the American market. Previous editions already demonstrated this trend: the 2025 event hosted about 80 companies and more than 350 industry operators from across the United States.
Texas has become a strategic market for Italian agri-food exports thanks to its strong economic growth, large population, and consumers with high purchasing power who increasingly seek premium and certified products. The region is also part of the rapidly expanding Sunbelt area, where demand for imported specialty foods continues to rise.
With its growing participation numbers and expanded format, Taste of Italy Houston is reinforcing its role as a major platform for promoting Italian culinary excellence. The event offers companies a concrete opportunity to strengthen their presence in the United States while introducing American buyers to the diversity, quality, and tradition of Italian food and wine.
