Leonardo DRS, Inc., has been selected to provide the critical power management, environmental control, and rugged integration system for the United States Army’s Enduring High Energy Laser (E-HEL) program, the company announced on Monday morning.
It comes two months after the US Army awarded AeroVironment, Inc., a $464.8 million production contract for the E-HEL program—the first production contract for the laser weapon system, which will allow warfighters to counter unmanned systems.
