Villa Lante, located in the village of Bagnaia (Viterbo), reopened after a major restoration completed in summer 2026. The monumental complex, renowned for its Italian-style garden and sixteenth-century hydraulic systems, blends art, nature and history and attracts visitors, researchers and enthusiasts.
The conservation work covered several areas: architectural restoration, preservation of historical hedges and topiary, rehabilitation of the original water conduits feeding the fountains, and the installation of low-impact lighting to permit evening visits. Accessibility improvements and updated safety and visitor routes were also implemented.
