It wasn't unusual for Paul Lonigro to go off his family's radar as he followed the migration of birds or enjoyed a long nature walk. "I'd get calls from my sisters who hadn't heard from him, and my kids would say, 'Pap-pap is missing again,' " said his son, Francis L. Lonigro of Latrobe.
"I'd call him and he'd say, 'The Canadian geese are migrating.' ... He'd end up in Connellsville or Greene County." Paul J. Lonigro of Greensburg, the founding dean of continuing education at Westmoreland County Community College, died of heart-related issues on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015. He was 84.
