Francesco Vezzoli debuts a new series of works inspired by the history of Hollywood cinema and the representation of the female persona in art and the mass media. The exhibition highlights the Milan based artist's mastery in deconstructing the vocabulary of film-making and in analyzing how the celebrity-driven culture influences art and the public imagination.
Organized by MOCA Senior Curator Alma Ruiz, Cinema Vezzoli is the final component
of a three-part series presented at MAXXI in Rome and MOMA PS1 in New York.
