A sharpshooting swingman with a knack for stepping up at crucial junctures, Marco Belinelli is an undoubtedly welcome addition to a Sacramento squad that ranked 28th in both three-point makes (461) and attempts (1,350) and 20th in three-point percentage (34.1) in 2014-15.
The ninth-year pro placed fifth in the League in downtown accuracy in 2013-14 at 43 percent – notching 11.4 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 25.2 minutes off the bench – and holds a career mark of 39.2 percent on 3.4 attempts per outing. In 62 games last season, the Bologna, Italy native knocked down 86 triples – a total which would've ranked second on the Kings behind Ben McLemore (140) –while only Omri Casspi shot at a higher clip (40.2)than Belinelli (37.4) among Sacramento players.
