The American Film Institute announced today that luminous Italian movie icon Sophia Loren will receive a special Tribute on the penultimate night of AFI FEST 2014, which runs November 6 through 13 in Hollywood.
AFI FEST will also celebrate the 50th anniversary of her glamorous, Oscar-nominated role in Vittorio De Sica's "Marriage Italian Style" with a restored print, and a live discussion that will survey Loren's storied career. She will also present her son Edoardo Ponti's new short "The Human Voice," in which Loren stars and speaks Italian.
