Enjoy a traditional game of bocce or a not-so-traditional hot air balloon ride at the Verdi Club's annual Community Festival July 19 to 21 in Amherstburg.
Festival committee chairman Lucio Salvati said the festival has changed and grown since the club began 54 years ago but it's always meant a little "Italy in Amherstburg."
Salvati said the festival kicks off Friday evening with a teen dance for kids in grades 5 to 8 at 7 p.m. in the club's main hall and the band Bigg Wiggle performing in the outdoor pavilion starting at 8 p.m. Admission to the licensed pavilion is 19 and over.
Everyone can enjoy the fireworks display at dusk.
