Cipriano de Rore wrote some of the most sublimely beautiful madrigals and motets ever to set ladies' hearts fluttering in Italy's 16th century villas and basilicas.
Piffaro, the nation's foremost Renaissance Wind Band and up-and-coming Renaissance vocal quartet The Laughing Bird celebrate Rore's 500th birthday by reviving these gems as they were meant to be heard - on period instruments in Renaissance style.
