In his second year, Gianmarco Arletti sets the pace for Holy Cross Prep. An international student from Italy, the 6-foot-6 point guard dictates much of what the Lancers do. He’s more confident and comfortable on the floor than a year ago, and so far his play has shown it. "Last year was a little strong for me," the University of Delaware commit said. "Italian basketball is totally different, a slower game. Here, it's fast and you need to run. I'm adjusted to it now."
After what was a lackluster first half for the visitors Friday, Arletti picked up his game and his teammates followed. The senior scored 15 of his game-high 20 points in the second half and Holy Cross pulled away for a 55-38 victory over Audubon in the semifinals of the Audubon Holiday Tournament.
