Central Catholic's Frezza to row at Delaware

The shortest person on most boats, Central Catholic senior Edoardo Frezza said he had to row fast to keep up with taller boys on the Vikings' rowing team. Frezza, 18, of Highland Park said he expects that experience to help when he joins the University of Delaware men's lightweight crew in the fall.

"(Racing) with heavier guys, I really had to work hard to be competitive," said the 5-foot-9, 169-pound Frezza. "Several of my (teammates) were over 6-4, so I was forced to be fast." After winning a gold medal on varsity second eight in 2014, Frezza, in the second seat, placed fifth in Men's Varsity 8+ at the Scholastic Rowing Association of America National Championship Regatta last month.
