Greetings from the National Italian American Sports Hall of Fame! The decision to cancel the 34th annual NIASHF banquet was a difficult one, but the safety of our friends and awardees was our top priority. One of our primary goals of the event is to raise funds to award scholarships to deserving Pittsburgh area youth of all backgrounds, who demonstrate strong academic achievement, excellence in sports and a financial need.
To date, we have been able assist more than 200 deserving students to achieve their dreams of a college education, and with your support we look forward to continuing this endeavor for many years to come. Congratulations to our 2020 awardees who have achieved success in sports, business and community service to the Pittsburgh area: Terry Ranieri (posthumously), Anthony Sanzo, Tony DeNunzio, Steve Catanese, and Warren Ciabattoni.
