The Verona chapter of UNICO National, the Italian-American service organization, will hold its annual Labor Day 5K in Veorna Park on Monday, September 5. The big race steps off at 9:30 a.m. and there's a 1 mile fun run that starts at 9 a.m.
The Labor Day 5K is a USATF-NJ grand prix event that raises money for the scholarships that UNICO grants each year to Verona High School seniors. There are also Fleet Feet gift certificates to the top three finishers in each of the race's age groups.
