St. Joseph the Worker Church is gearing up for its Italian Festival and Twilight Golf Tournament next weekend. John Dovec and Walter Ruszkowski are co-chairs of the events, which are sponsored by the church’s pastoral council. The twilight golf tournament will be held July 28 at Mountaineer Woodview Golf Course, beginning at 3 p.m. The cost is $50 per golfer, and prizes will be awarded.
The Italian Festival will be held from noon to 8 p.m. July 30 at the Serbian Picnic Grounds, Kings Creek Road, Weirton, and feature a variety of Italian cuisine. Food prices will vary. Admission is $5 per car to the festival which will include special desserts; games for children, including inflatables; bingo; a Chinese auction; drawings for baskets; and 50-50 drawings throughout the day.
