Italian catcher Alberto Mineo is remaining in affiliated minor league ball. He signed a new minor league contract with the Chicago Cubs organization, where he started his professional career in 2012.
Since 2018 he was playing in the Toronto Blue Jays organization. Last year the 25-year-old played in Double-A, batting .220/.296/.313 in 83 games. With the Italian national team he was a key player in their run towards the Gold Medal Game at the European Championship in Germany.
