Bjorn Fratangelo is ready to make a new career highlight.
After a 2013 season in which he won two singles titles and had two runner-up finishes at USTA Pro Circuit events, Fratangelo has bounced back from a slow start to 2014 because of injuries to win a singles and doubles title in Italy and advance to today's finals of the Ursula Beck Pro Tennis Classic. He'll play Britain's Liam Broady at noon today.
But even if Fratangelo does win today, he'll still be best known for a win he had way back in 2011. As an 18-year-old, Fratangelo became the first American player since John McEnroe in 1977 to win the boys singles title at the French Open.
