Proceeds will help in completing post-production of an authorized film documentary about legendary rock & roll DJ Dick Biondi, directed and produced by Pamela Enzweiler-Pulice. Biondi was the first DJ to play a Beatles record in the USA. He was the #1 DJ in America in the early 1960’s. He promoted the early records of Bobby Darin, Fats Domino, Jerry Lee Lewis and Elvis Presley and others.
“With your help we are going to make this movie for Dick,” Pulice says, “he’s earned a place in rock and roll history. He’s the reason this story must see its audience.” Lifelong Chicagoan and Media Critic Robert Feder adds “There probably isn’t a disc jockey in America who had a greater influence on generations of radio personalities. Every young person listening to it was influenced by him and many followed that to their own careers in radio.” Reel Stories is honored to be teaming up with Chicago Filmmakers as their non-profit fiscal sponsor.
