The Director of the Italian Cultural Institute, Silvio Marchetti is pleased to invite you to the following concert "Verdi Our Contemporary" performed by Ensemble Nuove Musiche, a concert based on chamber lyrics by the master from Busseto and built between tradition and contemporary music. Presented by the Italian Cultural Institute of Chicago in collaboration with the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts.

Philip Gossett, Robert W. Reneker Distinguished Service Emeritus Professor of Music at the University of Chicago and acknowledged as one of the world's leading opera scholars, will give a pre-concert lecture at 7pm, introducing the works and composers.
