The Cleveland Challenge Cup of Bocce is more than a sporting event. Chris Brassel, Wickliffe Italian-American Club operations manager described it as an Italian festival. The 33rd annual 2016 Pat O'Brien Chevrolet Cleveland Challenge Cup of Bocce will be from Aug. 26-28 at the Wickliffe Italian-American Club, 29717 Euclid Ave.
The three-day event will feature 96 competing teams, live entertainment, children's activities and food vendors that will provide a variety of dishes from homemade Italian food to popular American cuisine. "It's always about the people-bringing people together every year," Brassel said. "It's like a reunion."
