On Sept. 26, 2013, Boston's own Italian folk ensemble Newpoli presented their third album, Tempo Antico, at the Oberon in Cambridge. Shifting from villanellas to tarantellas and pizzicas, the group proved once again its talent on stage — accompanied by a Commedia dell'Arte performance by actors Chiara Durazzini (Colombina) and Emanuele Capoano (Pulcinella).
Newpoli is Carmen Marsico (vocals), Angela Rossi (vocals), Bjorn Wennas (guitar), Dan Meyers (ciaramella), Fabio Pirozzolo (percussions/vocals), Roberto Cassan (accordion), Sean Farias (acoustic bass) and Karen Burciaga (violin).
