Boston has often been referred to as the Athens of America for its colleges and universities. This week, the city has been the Rome of America as AS Roma has set up shop for the final two stops on its preseason tour of the United States leading up to the start of Italy’s Serie A season next month.
Roma has been training at Harvard University since last Thursday and with the exception of tonight’s match against Tottenham Hotspur in Harrison, N.J., will be in the area through Sunday’s friendly at Gillette Stadium against Serie A rival Juventus.
