While the world is still savoring French President François Hollande's affair with Julie Gayet, his predecessor, Nicolas Sarkozy, is launching a charm offensive in New York with his arresting wife, Carla Bruni.

Vocalist and guitarist Bruni is performing at Town Hall on West 43rd Street on Thursday.
The Italian-born former model released her fourth album, "Little French Songs," last year and is in town to promote the record before heading to San Francisco for a show at the Regency Ballroom on Friday.
