Angelica Women’s Chamber Choir, directed by Marie Caruso, presents “An Italian Journey: Music from 1300 to 1900” on the afternoon of Saturday, May 21, in New York City. The program features music from the medieval Laudario di Cortona; selections from the Baroque composer Pergolesi‘s Stabat Mater; Renaissance to early Baroque madrigals by Maddelena Casulana, Luca, Claudio Monteverdi, Alessandro Scarlatti, and Orazio Vecchi; and Neapolitan and Sicilian folk songs.
