Italian Wedding wins $150,000 New York Turf Writers Cup Steeplechase at Saratoga Race Course

Italian Wedding took the lead above the final fence and won the $150,000 New York Turf Writers Cup Steeplechase by a length Thursday at Saratoga Race Course.
The 8-year-old gelding ridden by Bernard Dalton gave trainer Jonathan Sheppard his 14th win in this race. He also owns Italian Wedding and was rewarded with a $90,000 share of the purse.
