Joe Scaravella, the founder of Enoteca Maria in St. George, recently shared that there are plans to produce a sequel to “Nonnas,” the film on his beloved Italian restaurant.Scaravella said there are “plans” to make a sequel titled “Nonnas of the World,” according to the report. Scaravella added that he has also begun developing his own idea for a television series.
The reported announcement comes on the heels of the success of Netflix’s “Nonnas.” “Nonnas” follows Scaravella’s story in starting Enoteca Maria with the premise of grandmothers (the now-world famed nonnas) as rotating chefs. St. George resident Jack Turner, a fan and regular at Enoteca, produced the film.
