Troy University Athletics announced the hiring of Emily Carosone, one of the top assistant coaches in the country, as the softball program’s new associate head coach. Carosone is coming off a four-year stint as an assistant coach at Auburn, where she also served as associate head coach in 2024. In 2024, Carosone helped the Tigers to a 29-21-1 record, with a spot in the NCAA Regional Softball Tournament.
Carosone was a key part of Auburn’s defensive coaching, helping the Tigers finish second in the SEC – and 12th nationally – with a .976 fielding percentage. Carosone also served as a graduate assistant in 2017 and was a volunteer assistant at Auburn in 2018 and 2019.
