Eastern Washington University men's basketball player Angelo Allegri signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the NBA's Charlotte Hornets on Friday. Allegri, a guard out of Kansas City, Mo., was an all-around force in his final NCAA season, leading the Eagles to a 23-11 record (16-2 in conference), Big Sky Regular Season Championship and first round win in the National Invitation Tournament, marking just the second postseason victory in program history.
In his second campaign with the Eagles after transferring from the University of North Carolina Greensboro, he averaged 13.5 points (12th Big Sky), 5.5 rebounds (11th) and 3.4 assists (6th), maintaining a 1.3 assist-turnover ratio (9th). He earned Big Sky First Team All-Conference accolades.
