The University of Miami's Gian Piero Ragonesi donned Italy's famous azzurro this weekend, competing at the 2015 European Under-23 Championships. The Hurricanes' talented thrower competed in the men's discus, posting a mark of 52.63m. Ragonesi is the fourth Hurricane to compete this summer following the collegiate season.
Shakima Wimbley and Amy Taintor competed at the USA Championships, with Wimbley earning a spot on Team USA for the 2015 Pan Am Games, and Alysha Newman placed second in the women's pole vault at the 2015 Canadian Championships.
