CineFesta Italia returns to one of the most desired travel destinations in America. Combine a carefully curated selection of Italian feature films with delicious Italian cuisine and set them in historic Santa Fe, NM and you’ve got the perfect weekend getaway. Or plan on staying an extra few days to enjoy the world-renowned art and cuisine of Santa Fe.
This year, CineFesta Italia will be held from June 1 through June 4, when the weather should be perfect for the many outdoor adventure opportunities in Santa Fe. Festivities will include receptions, dinners, after-parties and a special celebration of Festa della Repubblica.
Executive Director, Lisa Contarino says, “You’re even free to indulge yourself in la dolce vita with a clear conscience since proceeds from this celebration of Italian culture benefit Santa Fe’s neediest children.” This year’s beneficiaries are Communities in Schools of New Mexico and Cooking with Kids.
Among other films, this year’s lineup includes:
● Academy Award nominated Documentary, Fuocoammare (Fire at Sea)
● L’Attesa (The Wait), starring Juliette Binoche, from first-time feature Director, Piero Messina (Messina was Paolo Sorrentino’s assistant director on Academy Award winning La Grande Bellezza)
