In her first at-bat for the University of New Mexico (UNM) Lobos against the USA Olympic Team in the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic in Cathedral City, California on Thursday, February 20, 2020, Team Italy slugger Andrea Howard hit a home run over the center field fence to score the Lobos only run in the 10-1 loss to Team USA.
Having a knack for displaying offensive prowess in international competition, UNM junior Andrea Howard played well for Team Italy three weeks ago in the Australia Pacific (AP) Cup against Olympic foe Japan when she got hits in two close games against the Japanese.
