The achievement Tom Izzo said he never dreamed of is upon him. Izzo was announced as a member of the 2016 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame class during a Monday morning unveiling here in Houston.
The honor, regarded as the highest achievement a college basketball coach can attain, comes after Izzo took Michigan State's basketball program from prominent to a status as one of the sport's elite and most consistent.
