As we reported, San Antonio Spurs assistant coach Ettore Messina has been in serious talks to join European club Milano. Now a new report is out and it seems Messina's days in San Antonio may be coming to an end. According to a report via Sportando, the Spurs assistant coach is nearing a deal to sign with Italian team AX Armani Exchange Milano.
"[T]he former Italian basketball coach is ready to land in the red and white after the decisive meeting last Friday . On the table a three-year contract with a subsequent renewal option. An agreement, obviously, in the long term for a very ambitious new project. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport the transaction is being finalized." The reported deal is for three years and it is being reported Messina will become the new head coach and serve as the team's president.
