The University of Texas–San Antonio (UTSA) College of Architecture, Construction, and Planning (CACP), is hosting their first Italian Film Festival, presenting free screenings of Italian films every Wednesday at 5:00 p.m.
The films selected for screening are: October 4: “Habemus Papam” (“We Have a Pope”), directed by Nanni Moretti; October, 11: “Smetto Quando Voglio” (“I Can Quit Whenever I Want”), directed by Sidney Sibilia; October 18: “Pane e Tulipani” (“Bread and Tulips”), directed by Silvio Soldini; October 25: “La Grande Bellezza” (“The Great Beauty”), directed by Paolo Sorrentino
Coordinated by Prof. Molly Zaldivar of the UTSA Italian Department, Prof. Mark Blizard of the CACP, Com.It.Es.~Houston Consigliere Asst. Prof. Angela Lombardi of the UTSA School of Architecture, and with
the support of Com.It.Es.~Houston, the screenings will also be part of the preparation for undergraduate students in the architecture program who will spend their spring semester studying in the Italian city
Urbino. The month of October was selected in celebration of Italian Heritage Month. All screenings will be held in the CACP.
