Team Italy put together back-to-back wins with victories over Grand Canyon University on March 25 and Paradise Valley Community College on March 27 at Mesa’s Hohokam Stadium. Leo ZileriAfter the dynamic pitching duo of Mattia Aldegheri and Alex Bassani worked in synergy to defeat the Grand Canyon University Antelopes by a score of 5 to 2, Azzurri manager Gilberto “Gibo” Gerali called on an arsenal of Team Italy pitchers to control the Paradise Valley Community College Pumas.

Starting pitcher Alessandro Maestri and relievers Diego Fabiani, Yomel Rivera, and Filippo Crepaldi combined their efforts to beat Paradise Valley Communtiy College 7-2. Team Italy got on the board early in the first inning when Alessandro Vaglio scored on a sacrifice fly from Alex Sambucci.
