Elio Sofia is a award-winning independent film maker from Sicily. His film "The Last Reel" received "Best Documentary Picture" at the °61 Taormina Film Festival in 2015. The film depicts the industry's transition from film to digital and passionately portrays those who have dedicated their life's work to film, only to be cast aside in the new generation.

In January 2016, this film will be premiring in Los Angeles. It's important that Elio is in attendance and therefore we have setup a Go Fund Me page to help pay for his travel expenses including air fare, hotel, and rental car. Any contribution will be helpful in bringing Elio to Los Angeles thus allowing him to share his film with others, speak on behalf of the Sicilian film industry, and bring world-wide attention to the dedicated, hard-working people that will be phased out of the film industry forever.
