The team behind Osteria Cotta on the Upper West Side, Sergio Riva and AJ Bontempo, have brought Carroll Place downtown on Bleecker Street.
The 170-seat Italian-American wine bar and gastropub will bring Cotta signature dishes as well as new selections. Dishes include a burrata burger with grilled tomato and prosciutto, pork ragu, and short rib sliders. Pizzas are overseen by longtime pizzailo Frederico Crociani, who serves up the Bruxelles, with Brussels sprouts and fresh mozzarella; or the Tartufo, with speck and truffle cream, mushrooms, fresh mozzarella and truffle oil.
